The Bride is originally from New Zealand and she was travelling ‘home’ for a Spring September wedding. She wanted a long, bold and red wedding dress.
The chosen fabric was a gorgeous shot silk dupion in red and black. This gave a deep rich colour and a luxurious feel to the full skirt and the dress began to take on a glamorous 50’s look.
The bodice had a pleated silk trim and a softly rolling collar, the ‘wrapover’ fastening at the back was held in place with 4 beautiful Swarovski crystal buttons sourced by the Bride on her travels.
To complete the outfit a short chocolate silk organza jacket was worn, the collar glittered with tiny smoky crystals which were also scattered on the inside of the wrapover skirt. |
